Array capture loss
The array capture loss represents all operational losses occurring within the PV array prior to the DC measurement point. These include effects such as wiring and junction box losses, array temperature variations, soiling, and other performance impacts. It is calculated as the difference between the reference yield and the PV array yield.

Formula
##Bifacial systems##
For bifacial PV systems, a separate bifacial array capture loss metric exists that accounts for both front and rear-side irradiance weighted by the module’s bifaciality coefficient:
This provides an assessment of array losses in bifacial systems by including the weighted rear-side irradiance contribution in the reference baseline.
